As part of the appointment, Samir will also join the company’s global leadership team, marking a significant milestone in a global career spanning nearly 30 years across the consumer goods industry.
Samir’s appointment comes at a time when the global oral care market is being reshaped by innovation, digital transformation, sustainability initiatives, and evolving consumer preferences. With extensive experience in brand building, category leadership, innovation, and business transformation, Singh is expected to play a key role in driving the future growth of Colgate-Palmolive’s flagship oral care business worldwide.
Prior to taking on this role, Samir Singh served as Executive Vice President, Asia-Pacific at Colgate-Palmolive. He led one of the company’s most important regions, focusing on business growth, market expansion, innovation, and strengthening leadership positions across multiple Asia-Pacific markets.
Before joining Colgate-Palmolive, Singh spent 16 years with Unilever, where he held several senior global and regional leadership positions. Most recently, he served as Chair of Unilever Asia Pte Ltd and Head of the Unilever Singapore Hub, while also holding the role of Chief Marketing Officer, Personal Care.
In these positions, he led global marketing, communication, advertising, innovation, and growth strategies for some of the world’s most recognized consumer brands, including Dove, Lifebuoy, Lux, Axe, Rexona, Closeup, and Pepsodent.
Earlier, Singh served as Executive Vice President, Skin Cleansing and Oral Care, overseeing an approximately $8 billion global business. He played a key role in driving category growth, strengthening market share, accelerating innovation, and expanding the reach of several leading brands.
He also held the position of Global Executive Vice President, Skin Cleansing, where he managed global portfolios that included Dove, Lifebuoy, Lux, Pears, Baby Dove, and Radox.
His leadership journey at Unilever included serving as Executive Director, Personal Care at Hindustan Unilever Limited, where he managed a broad portfolio covering skincare, haircare, oral care, deodorants, cosmetics, and salon businesses. Other notable roles included Global Brand Vice President – Lifebuoy, Global Brand Director – Vaseline, Marketing Director – Skin Care, Regional Marketing Director – Southeast Asia, and Regional Brand Manager – South Asia & Middle East.
Over the course of his career, Samir Singh has built a strong reputation for developing purpose-led brands, driving innovation-driven growth, and creating large-scale consumer impact initiatives. His contributions have helped strengthen the global relevance and market leadership of several iconic brands.
He holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Management (Marketing) from the Indian Institute of Management Lucknow and is widely recognized for his expertise in global marketing, business leadership, innovation, and consumer engagement.
