In a sign of India’s rising importance in global manufacturing and technology, Rockwell Automation has significantly expanded its workforce in the country.

The company’s employee base in India has now reached 4,000, up from around 700 nearly a decade ago. This sharp growth reflects increasing demand for industrial automation and digital transformation solutions across sectors.

According to Asia Pacific president Scott Wooldridge, the expansion has been driven by strong growth in manufacturing activity, along with supportive government policies. These include taxation benefits and planning incentives that have encouraged companies to invest and scale operations in India.

The growth also highlights India’s role as a key hub for technology and industrial innovation. As businesses continue to adopt automation and digital tools, companies like Rockwell Automation are strengthening their presence to meet rising demand.

This workforce expansion signals confidence in India’s manufacturing ecosystem and its long-term growth potential.
