China’s humanoid robotics sector is witnessing rapid growth as Robotera has secured more than $200 million in a new funding round led by SF Group. The investment will support the company’s expansion across logistics and industrial automation markets.

The latest financing comes after Robotera completed a separate strategic funding round worth $143 million in March. Investors in the new round included HSG, IDG Capital, Hillhouse Investment, and CICC Capital, along with industrial partners linked to China Unicom and automotive sector investors.

“With proven deployment in logistics and ongoing expansion into automotive, electronics, and service industries, Robotera is entering a phase of rapid commercialization,” the company said in its announcement.

“The company will continue scaling real-world robotic applications across global markets.”

Based in Beijing, Robotera develops humanoid robots and robotic manipulation systems designed for logistics, industrial, and service-sector applications. The company said its robots are currently operating in more than 10 logistics centers through partnerships with China Post and SF Group.

Robotera also revealed that it started thousand-unit deliveries during the second quarter of 2026 and reported growth exceeding 300% during the period. The company is now expanding beyond logistics into automotive, electronics, and service industries as China’s embodied AI and humanoid robotics sector continues to grow.

The company said it internally develops more than 95% of its core robotics components, including actuation systems, humanoid robot platforms, and dexterous robotic hands.

One of its major focus areas is robotic manipulation technology. Robotera stated that it created a direct-drive dexterous hand architecture aimed at improving precision and durability for industrial and logistics operations.

According to the company, its robotics hardware systems are also being used by Nvidia, Apple, and Boston Dynamics for robotics development and research activities.
