Fresh details about the upcoming Redmi Note 17 have surfaced online ahead of its expected India launch next month. The smartphone has reportedly appeared on the Geekbench benchmarking platform, revealing key hardware specifications and offering an early look at its expected performance.
According to the listing, the device carries the model number Xiaomi 26021RN18I, which is believed to be the Indian variant of the Redmi Note 17. The smartphone is expected to feature an octa-core processor based on ARMv8 architecture, with 6 cores clocked at 1.96GHz and 2 cores running at 2.30GHz.
Based on the chipset configuration, the handset is expected to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 processor, making it one of the first smartphones to use the new chipset. The listing also suggests the device will come with approximately 7.33GB of RAM, which is likely to be marketed as 8GB, and will run Android 16-based HyperOS 3.
The benchmark results show the smartphone achieving a single-core score of 950 and a multi-core score of 2,324 on Geekbench 6.7.1 for Android AArch64. For comparison, the Redmi Note 15 5G, powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor, recorded scores of 408 in the single-core test and 1,532 in the multi-core test in earlier benchmark results.
Earlier reports suggested that the Redmi Note 17 could launch in India on August 6, with sales expected to begin on August 11. Xiaomi has also started teasing some of the smartphone’s features in the country. The device is tipped to be priced below Rs. 20,000 in India, although the company has not officially confirmed the launch date or pricing.
