Redmi K90 Max benchmark leak reveals flagship performance ahead of April 21 launch

Fresh developments around the upcoming Redmi smartphone suggest that its official debut is getting closer, with new benchmark listings revealing key performance details.

The Redmi K90 Max has appeared on a benchmarking platform with model number Xiaomi 2604FRK1EC. This listing is believed to correspond to the upcoming device, which is scheduled to launch in China soon. The smartphone is shown to feature an octa-core processor based on ARMv8 architecture, with a base clock speed of 2.70GHz.

Based on the core configuration, the chipset is identified as the MediaTek Dimensity 9500. It features an “All Big Core” design, including 1 Ultra core clocked at 4.21GHz, 3 Premium cores at 3.50GHz, and 4 Pro cores running at 2.70GHz. This processor is also used in other flagship devices such as the Oppo Find X9 series and the Vivo X300 lineup.

The listing further suggests that the Redmi K90 Max could come with around 14.88GB RAM, which is likely to be marketed as 16GB. It is also expected to run on Android 16, possibly with HyperOS 3 layered on top.

Performance scores from Geekbench 6.6.0 for Android AArch64 indicate strong capabilities. The device recorded 3,513 points in the single-core test and 10,711 points in the multi-core test. These figures are comparable to other smartphones powered by the same chipset. For reference, the Vivo X300 Pro scored 3,337 and 9,983, while the Find X9 Pro achieved 3,251 and 9,771 in similar tests.

The Redmi K90 Max is expected to launch in China on April 21 at 7:00pm (4:30pm IST). More details about the smartphone are likely to emerge as the launch date approaches.
