Walmart Global Tech India has promoted Rajesh Palanisamy to the role of Director, Software Engineering, recognizing his long-standing contributions to the organization’s technology and innovation journey. Based in Bengaluru, Rajesh takes on the expanded leadership role after more than 13 years with the company.

Throughout his tenure, he has progressed through several key engineering positions, including Senior Engineering Manager, Senior Engineer, Engineer III, and Software Engineer. Over the years, he has played an important role in software development, engineering leadership, and large-scale technology initiatives that support Walmart Global Tech India’s digital transformation and retail technology operations.

Prior to joining Walmart Global Tech India, Rajesh worked as a Software Engineer at Cisco Systems and earlier as a Project Engineer at Wipro Technologies. These experiences helped him build a strong foundation in enterprise technology, software development, and technology-driven business solutions.

With more than a decade of experience across software engineering, digital innovation, and engineering management, Rajesh has developed expertise in leading high-performing teams and delivering scalable technology solutions. His elevation reflects Walmart Global Tech India’s continued investment in strengthening technical leadership and accelerating innovation across its global engineering ecosystem.
