Proton unveils privacy-first Workspace suite under Swiss data protection laws

In a move aimed at businesses seeking stronger data protection, Proton has introduced Proton Workspace, a privacy-first suite designed for secure communication and collaboration.

The platform is built under strict Swiss privacy laws and combines key services including Proton Mail, Proton Drive, and the newly launched Proton Meet. The offering is positioned as an alternative for organisations concerned about data privacy and security.

A key feature of the suite is Proton Meet, which allows users to host video calls with up to 50 participants for 1 hour. Notably, participants do not need a Proton account to join these calls.

The company emphasised that all communications on Proton Meet are end-to-end encrypted and accessible across multiple devices, ensuring both privacy and ease of use.

With this launch, Proton aims to provide businesses and organisations with a secure workspace solution that enables seamless collaboration without compromising on data protection.
