In a major push to boost economic growth, Odisha has cleared 18 industrial projects with a total investment of nearly ₹3,900 crore, expected to generate around 7,565 jobs across multiple districts.
The decision was taken during a high-level government meeting led by Chief Secretary Anu Garg. The projects will be spread across districts such as Balasore, Deogarh, and Keonjhar.
The state is strengthening its manufacturing sector with new aluminium and steel plants planned by companies like Runaya Eckart and Scan Steels.
The investment plan also includes developments in technology and pharmaceuticals. Envair Electrodyne will set up an electronics manufacturing facility, while Harman Finochem is establishing a pharma unit.
In addition, 6 new hospitality projects, including eco resorts, have been approved to enhance the state’s tourism sector and attract more visitors.
The initiative is aimed at diversifying Odisha’s economy while creating employment opportunities, especially for young people across the region.
