NTT DATA, a global business and technology services company, has appointed Rawan Shalhoub as Senior Executive, Head of People & Culture – North America. With over 20 years of experience in human resources, talent management, organisational transformation and leadership development, Shalhoub brings international expertise in strengthening workplace culture and building leadership capabilities.
The appointment was welcomed by Stijn Nauwelaerts, Chief People Officer at NTT DATA, who highlighted Shalhoub’s global experience, focus on leadership development and commitment to creating inclusive workplaces. Her appointment comes as the company continues to advance business transformation and support employee growth across its North American operations.
Before joining NTT DATA, Shalhoub served at Microsoft, where she held several senior HR leadership positions across different regions. In her most recent role, she was General Manager – Manager Excellence from April 2025 to October 2026. She also served as Senior HR Director for Microsoft US Health & Public Sector, Marketing & Operations, and Global Partner.
Earlier, Shalhoub worked as HR Director – Netherlands for around 4 years, supporting the company’s European operations. She also served as Talent Management Lead – Microsoft International in Dubai, where she worked on talent strategies for international sales, marketing and services teams. Her responsibilities included talent mobility, leadership succession planning and leadership development.
She also held the position of HR Lead – Microsoft International HR, contributing to the company’s broader human resources priorities.
Before these roles, Shalhoub served as Head of HR – Middle East & Egypt at Alcon Laboratories, then a Novartis company, and as HR Director at EMCO Engineering Group. These positions gave her experience in regional HR leadership across different industries.
Earlier in her career, she worked at Microsoft Central and Eastern Europe as HR M&A Manager and later as Talent Acquisition and Program Manager. Her responsibilities included HR integration, recruitment and people-focused programme management.
Shalhoub’s career across Microsoft, Alcon, EMCO Engineering Group and NTT DATA reflects her experience in global HR strategy, organisational development, talent management and business transformation. She holds a Master of Human Resources and Industrial Relations (MHRIR) from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
In her new role at NTT DATA, Shalhoub will focus on leadership development, workplace culture and people strategy across the company’s North American operations.
