NIBM expands footprint with Artha Manthan centre launch in Mumbai to boost banking collaboration

In a step towards expanding its academic and industry engagement, National Institute of Bank Management has opened its off-campus learning centre “Artha Manthan” in Mumbai.

The centre, located at Kasturi Building, Churchgate, was inaugurated by P Vasudevan, Executive Director at the Reserve Bank of India. He urged NIBM to work closely with the banking sector and use the centre as a platform to host discussions on key topics such as Artificial Intelligence, financial inclusion, Digital Personal Data Protection Act, digital payments, and cyber security.

He also highlighted the importance of co-creating knowledge and ensuring continuous upskilling of the banking workforce.

Partha Ray and Anjan Roy also addressed the gathering during the inaugural event.

The event was attended by senior executives from various banks and financial institutions. They discussed opportunities for collaboration and capacity building within the sector.

NIBM, based in Pune, was established in 1969 by the Reserve Bank of India in consultation with the Government of India. It functions as an autonomous apex institution focused on research, training, education, and consultancy in bank management.
