Netra Gowda has returned to Airbus as Vice President, HR Transformation, Digital & AI, bringing extensive experience across artificial intelligence, digital transformation, strategy and organisational change.
Gowda rejoins Airbus after serving as Vice President of Strategy, Planning and Portfolio at Stellantis, a role she took up in January 2024. Before that, she spent more than 4 years with Airbus Defence and Space as Head of Advanced Analytics, AI & Cloud Acceleration, focusing on advanced analytics, AI and cloud technologies.
Her return marks a continuation of a career at Airbus that spans more than 10 years. She previously held several strategy and transformation-focused positions, including Chief-of-Staff to the Digital Transformation Officer from 2016 to 2019 and Head of Culture Change for Digital Transformation.
Earlier, Gowda worked as Corporate Innovation Manager and Group Strategy & Analysis Manager, building experience across innovation, strategy and enterprise transformation. She also served as Employment Marketing Manager at Airbus Defence and Space.
Before entering the aerospace sector, Gowda was Strategic Marketing Manager at Intel Corporation and began her career as a Research and Development Engineer at DaimlerChrysler. Her professional background therefore spans engineering, technology, strategic marketing, innovation and transformation.
Alongside her corporate roles, Gowda has been a Millennium Leadership Fellow with the Atlantic Council since 2019. She has also delivered guest lectures at Sciences Po on the impact of digitalisation.
In her new role, Gowda will draw on her experience in AI, digital technologies, culture change and corporate strategy to lead Airbus’ HR transformation, digital and AI initiatives.
