N. Balakrishna Appointed as Chief Financial Officer at Bharat Supply

Bharat Supply, the rural-focused logistics venture created through the merger of Connect India and the logistics arm of Faarms, has appointed N. Balakrishna as its Chief Financial Officer.

Balakrishna is a chartered accountant with more than 14 years of diverse experience across sectors. He previously served as the Chief Financial Officer at Snowman Logistics. His professional journey covers industries such as telecom, information technology, warehousing, and iron and steel, equipping him with broad expertise to guide Bharat Supply’s growth plans.

This appointment comes at a time when India’s logistics industry is undergoing rapid change, driven by GST rationalisation, digital compliance, and the increasing reach of e-commerce in smaller towns. Bharat Supply already operates in more than 200,000 villages and has set a target to expand its services to 300 districts by 2025. The company is supported by investors including Aavishkaar Capital and Singapore-based angel investor Koh Boon Hwee.

“Balakrishna’s financial acumen will help us scale faster, strengthen governance, and support our fundraising efforts,” said Taranbir Singh, CEO of Bharat Supply. Commenting on his new role, Balakrishna said his priority will be to build a strong financial foundation and enable sustainable expansion across Bharat markets.
