Motorola is set to expand its G-series portfolio in India with the Moto G Max, with its launch date and key specifications now confirmed through a Flipkart listing. The smartphone will arrive on August 14 at 12pm.
The Moto G Max will feature a 6.72-inch FHD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 1,050 nits of HBM brightness. It will also feature Water Touch 2.0 for better touchscreen response when the display is wet.
The handset will be available in blue, dark gray and pink Pantone-curated colour options. It is shown with a satin finish and a flat frame.
Under the hood, the Moto G Max will be powered by the Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 chipset, paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. It will run Android 16 out of the box. Motorola has promised 2 OS upgrades and 3 years of security updates.
For photography, the smartphone will feature a 50-megapixel Sony LYTIA 600 primary camera and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera. A 32-megapixel front camera will handle selfies and video calls.
Powering the Moto G Max is a 7,000mAh silicon-carbon battery, which is claimed to offer up to 3 days of battery life and support up to 1,000 recharge cycles.
The smartphone will also come with stereo speakers featuring Dolby Atmos, a 3.5mm headphone jack and IP64-rated protection. It will use Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic and carry MIL-STD 810H certification.
The pricing has not been revealed yet. A previous report suggested that the Moto G Max could be priced around Rs. 30,000. More details are expected when the smartphone launches in India on August 14.
