Mitrankur Majumdar has been promoted at Infosys to Executive Vice President and Global Head of Services, Utilities, Resources and Energy (SURE), taking on a broader leadership role as the company advances its AI-led transformation and growth strategy.
In his new role, Majumdar will work with enterprises across the services, utilities, resources and energy sectors to turn investments in AI, data and cloud into measurable business outcomes. His experience in business transformation, strategic AI partnerships, client engagement and business growth across markets will support the company’s SURE portfolio and ecosystem.
Majumdar brings nearly 3 decades of experience with Infosys. He joined the company as a Software Engineer in 1997 and progressed through roles including Systems Analyst, Project Manager, Engagement Manager, Senior Engagement Manager and Group Engagement Manager.
From 2010 to 2014, he served as Associate Vice President – Head, Telecom, managing the Telecom and Cable practice in North America. His work covered IT strategy, cloud, infrastructure, data, digital experience and business process services.
In 2015, Majumdar was elevated to Vice President – Regional Head, Services (Americas), before becoming Senior Vice President – Global Head, Services (Americas) in 2021. He built extensive experience managing and growing businesses across the Americas before taking on the Executive Vice President – Global Head, Services role in 2025.
His latest appointment expands his responsibilities to lead the SURE industries globally.
Before joining Infosys, Majumdar worked at Philips India Limited as Project Manager from 1994 to 1997. He also serves as Board Advisor – Business Leadership Council at Texas A&M University-Commerce and Advisory Board Member at the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Engineering.
Majumdar holds an MBA from Texas McCombs School of Business and completed the Global Leadership Program at Stanford University Graduate School of Business.
