This promotion marks a major milestone in Melissa’s more than 10-year journey with the organization.
In her new role, Melissa will lead Summit Health’s HR strategy, people operations, workforce initiatives, and organizational development priorities as the company continues expanding its integrated primary, specialty, and urgent care services.
Over the past decade, Melissa has held several progressive leadership positions within Summit Health, including Senior Vice President Human Resources, Vice President Human Resources, National Director of Human Resources, and Manager HR Operations & Total Rewards. Her experience spans HR operations, workforce strategy, employee experience, total rewards, and healthcare-focused people leadership.
Before joining Summit Health, Melissa worked with THE NET-A-PORTER GROUP as HR Operations & Total Reward Manager, where she gained experience in HR operations and rewards management. Earlier in her career, she served as Manager Benefits & HR Systems at Barneys New York, building expertise in benefits management, HR systems, people operations, and total rewards.
With extensive experience across healthcare HR leadership, benefits, HR systems, and workforce operations, Melissa Woodhouse is expected to play a key role in supporting Summit Health’s workforce strategy and continued focus on patient-centered care.
