Kovon secures $250K funding to scale cross-border workforce opportunities

Expanding its vision for cross-border employment, Kovon has raised $250K in a pre-seed funding round led by TDV Partners. The funding will support product development, global employer partnerships, candidate acquisition, and the expansion of its skilling and training ecosystem.

Founded by Bibartan Roy and Swayamjeet Das, Kovon focuses on connecting India’s blue- and grey-collar workforce with overseas job opportunities. The platform serves sectors such as healthcare, hospitality, construction, and logistics.

Kovon provides an end-to-end solution that includes job discovery, upskilling, financing, placement, and post-deployment support, helping candidates navigate the full employment journey.

The startup aims to address labour shortages in markets across Europe, the UK, the Middle East, and other developed economies, while creating structured overseas opportunities for Indian workers.

It is focused on building verified, job-ready talent pipelines from India for global employers, supporting both workforce mobility and international hiring needs.
