Kerala has unveiled a comprehensive Global Capability Centre (GCC) feasibility report aimed at attracting global companies and strengthening the state’s position as one of India’s leading GCC destinations. The report was launched at the Kerala GCC Outlook 2026 conclave held at Technopark and outlines a strategic roadmap to boost GCC investments across the state.
Speaking at the event, Industries, Commerce, IT and Artificial Intelligence Minister P. K. Kunhalikutty said the report marks an important milestone in Kerala’s journey to become one of the country’s most preferred GCC hubs. He said the government plans to implement the recommendations of the report by building on Kerala’s skilled talent pool and well-established IT ecosystem. While acknowledging existing challenges, he expressed confidence that the state can overcome them by leveraging its strengths.
The conclave provided a platform for discussions on Kerala’s growing GCC ecosystem and opportunities to further strengthen the state’s position in the sector.
Delivering the welcome address, Seeram Sambasiva Rao, Special Secretary, Department of Electronics and Information Technology, said GCCs are driving the next phase of technological transformation while creating high-value employment opportunities worldwide.
He added that Kerala currently hosts more than 45 operational GCCs and has set a target of attracting 150 GCCs and creating around 2 lakh associated jobs by 2031. He described the feasibility report as a detailed assessment of the state’s readiness to expand GCC investments.
The report was presented by Srinivasan Sarvabhouman, Chief Financial Officer of Bengaluru-based ANSR, a company specialising in establishing GCCs.
During the event, Technopark signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Collabera, while Infoparks Kerala signed another MoU with ANSR to strengthen collaboration in the GCC sector.
The event was presided over by V. Muraleedharan, MLA, and attended by senior government officials, industry leaders, GCC executives, consultants and other ecosystem stakeholders.
