In his new role, Jacob will lead the growth and expansion of emerging categories and premium lifestyle offerings across the company’s growing brand portfolio. He will focus on driving innovation and strengthening the presence of new age lifestyle segments under the group.
Before this appointment, Jacob served as President for Premium Brands at Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Limited for more than five years. During this period, he played a key role in expanding and strengthening the group’s premium fashion labels. His leadership helped improve brand visibility and business performance in a highly competitive market.
Earlier, Jacob was the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director at Modenik Lifestyle Private Limited, an Advent International company. There, he led the transformation of the company’s innerwear and athleisure businesses and built a strong position in the mass premium segment.
Before that, he worked as Deputy Chief Executive Officer for Lifestyle Department Stores at Landmark Group. In this role, he contributed to business growth, customer engagement, and omni channel innovation across the retail business.
Jacob also spent more than eight years at Madura Fashion and Lifestyle, part of the Aditya Birla Group. During this phase, he held senior leadership roles including Chief Operating Officer and Brand Director for Louis Philippe. His time there was marked by strong category growth, brand renewal, and customer focused brand strategy.
With wide experience across premium fashion, retail, and lifestyle businesses, Jacob John is expected to play a key role in shaping the next phase of growth for Aditya Birla Lifestyle Brands Limited in the emerging business space.
