Indian firms expand global footprint with major US investment commitments

A major wave of cross-border investments is taking shape as Indian firms expand their global footprint. At the SelectUSA Investment Summit held in Maryland, companies from India collectively announced investments worth $1.1 billion across multiple high-growth sectors in the United States.

According to a senior official, 12 Indian companies made announcements at the event, marking the highest number of investment commitments from a single delegation. These investments span aerospace, defence, energy, advanced manufacturing, and artificial intelligence, and are expected to generate around 1,500 jobs in the US.

Abhyuday Group led the announcements with a $900 million investment to establish manufacturing clusters across 5 US states. Mumbai-based Sterlite Technologies Limited committed up to $100 million for a greenfield facility focused on optical fibre connectivity solutions.

PR Jindal Group revealed plans to invest $87 million in Texas and Mississippi, while Jivo Wellness Group announced a $15 million investment to set up a manufacturing unit. TechDome Solutions from Indore plans to invest up to $75 million, aiming to create 100 jobs over the next 5 years.

Chennai-based Atri AI intends to invest around $2 million over 2–3 years to expand engineering and technology operations. Magno Innovation from Kerala also plans a $2 million investment to establish a US field operations base.

Satori XR has set up its US headquarters in Michigan and will invest $1.5 million over 5 years, creating 20–25 jobs. Roche AI is investing $5 million in Texas to build its first US presence, generating up to 20 roles.

Polyhose Inc. plans a $2 million expansion in Los Angeles, while Kissflow will invest $2 million in Houston to support the energy sector. The Indian Institute of Technology Madras Global Research Foundation will invest $4.5 million to establish a US base in California, aimed at research collaboration and supporting global startups.
