India takes global AI spotlight as official partner country at VivaTech 2026

India is set to take centre stage at Viva Technology 2026 in Paris as the Official Partner Country, highlighting its growing influence in artificial intelligence, digital innovation, and technology-led development. The participation coincides with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to France next week and is expected to strengthen collaboration between the two nations in innovation and emerging technologies.

Led by the India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO), India’s presence at VivaTech 2026 as the Official AI Partner Country will showcase the country’s achievements in AI, Digital Public Infrastructure, and large-scale innovation.

Under the theme “Tech For Humanity,” India will present its vision of technology that empowers citizens, promotes inclusion, solves challenges at scale, and creates global impact while remaining rooted in human values.

The event will take place from 17–20 June at the Paris Expo Porte de Versailles in Paris. Recognised as Europe’s largest startup and technology event, VivaTech attracts more than 180,000 visitors, over 400 speakers, participants from more than 170 countries, and more than 80 startups.

India will host the largest national pavilion at the event, bringing together government representatives, industry leaders, investors, entrepreneurs, and startups. The initiative aims to promote technology exports, attract global investments, build international partnerships, and strengthen India-France cooperation in a human-centric, inclusive, and sustainable manner.

The India Pavilion is expected to feature leading voices from government, research, science, and industry, including Piyush Goyal. It will also highlight it’s innovation ecosystem through the participation of unicorns, high-growth startups, and technology companies.

Key sectors on display will include Artificial Intelligence, Aerospace, DefenceTech, SpaceTech, HealthTech, DeepTech, SaaS, ClimateTech, Mobility, Robotics, and Cybersecurity, reflecting it’s growing leadership in next-generation technologies.

Participation from the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), and the Ministry of Education will further showcase it’s whole-of-government approach to innovation and digital transformation.

India’s participation also aligns with the India-France Year of Innovation 2026, reinforcing cooperation in entrepreneurship, research, and advanced technologies. The India Pavilion logo, featuring a Tree of Life merged with a digital circuit design, symbolizes the blend of it’s cultural heritage and technological ambitions for the future.
