Grok Bot is expanding its availability to Android, giving users access to an AI agent designed to work across tools and apps as a digital teammate. The platform announced the Android release on Wednesday, following its beta debut last month on Linux, macOS and iOS.
Developed jointly by SpaceXAI and Cursor, Grok Bot is designed as an always-on agent with its own dedicated cloud computer. It can handle tasks and complete them on behalf of users without requiring step-by-step guidance.
Grok Bot arrives on Android
SpaceXAI announced the Android availability in a video post on X. Following its initial release on Linux, macOS and iOS, Grok Bot is now listed on the Google Play Store.
The agent can work in parallel even when a laptop is closed. Each Grok Bot has access to 1 persistent cloud computer, along with files, browser and logins. It uses Cursor SSO, authentication and privacy mode.
Users can start by messaging a Bot from a phone or desktop, similar to texting a member of a team. They can then continue the same conversation later from either device.
“You can also place Bots in a group chat where they can coordinate on their own. They pass work, assign ownership, and only pull you in for judgment calls,” said SpaceXAI during the launch.
Grok Bot can also take on tasks without users having to guide it through every individual step.
Subscription plans and availability
Access to Grok Bot is linked to eligible SuperGrok and Cursor subscription plans. Supported plans include SuperGrok, SuperGrok Plus, SuperGrok Heavy, Cursor Pro, Cursor Pro+, Cursor Ultra and Cursor Teams, including its Standard and Premium tiers.
The company is expected to expand Grok Bot availability to teams and enterprises in the coming weeks.
