Google is introducing a new visual treatment for paid AI and Google One subscribers across Android and the web. The update adds a blue gradient ring around the account profile picture, replacing the earlier 4-colour ring used for Google One accounts. The new design has a Gemini-inspired appearance and is currently reaching a limited number of users.
New blue gradient ring for subscribers
According to user reports on X, subscribers to Google AI Plus, AI Pro and AI Ultra are seeing the new blue gradient halo around their profile pictures. The design replaces the previous ring featuring red, blue, green and yellow shades and resembles the Gemini icon.
Some users have also reported the redesigned interface with Google One Basic and One Standard subscriptions.
Tapping the profile picture opens a redesigned full-screen menu with a more compact layout. The email address, profile picture and name are grouped into a single card that also shows the subscription tier. The account switcher is included in the same section.
Below this, users can see “Manage your Google Account” and “Upgrade to Google AI Ultra.”
The blue halo is reportedly rolling out on a per-device basis. If the update is available on a phone or tablet, it will appear across supported apps, although not every app currently supports the new design. A similar rollout is taking place on the web, but availability remains limited.
Meanwhile, Google recently updated Gmail’s Gemini-powered Help Me Write feature to provide users with more control over AI-generated email drafts.
It also launched Gemini 3.7 Flash earlier this month as the successor to Gemini 3.6 Flash. The latest model is available to developers, enterprises and individual users.
