Google expands Find Hub web features to support trackers and accessories

In a step towards enhancing device tracking across platforms, Google has updated its Find Hub website to support a wider range of devices, including tracking tags and compatible accessories like headphones. The update allows users to manage and locate more items directly through a desktop browser.

With this rollout, users can now ring trackers, mark items as lost, rename devices, and remove them online, similar to the experience offered on the Android app. Earlier, the web version was limited to devices such as smartphones, tablets, Wear OS watches, and select audio products. It now extends support to accessories like wireless earbuds.

The updated website also introduces a refreshed design based on Material 3 for desktop users, while the mobile version mirrors the native app interface. Additionally, a new “People” tab has been added as part of the expanded layout.

This update follows recent developments where Google integrated Find Hub with its Messages app and introduced a lost luggage sharing feature with airlines, indicating a broader push to strengthen its device-tracking ecosystem.

Google Find Hub is a service that helps users locate lost or misplaced devices linked to their Google account. It works across smartphones, tablets, Wear OS devices, and supported accessories, and is accessible through both an app and a web interface.

The platform allows users to view device locations on a map, make devices ring to find nearby items, and mark them as lost. Users can also manage device settings remotely, such as renaming or removing them from their account.

With the latest update, Find Hub is evolving into a more comprehensive solution, offering a centralised way to track personal devices and improve the chances of recovery.
