Gina Chung takes on expanded leadership role at Locus Robotics amid growing AI automation demand

In her new role, Gina will oversee global corporate strategy, product direction, go-to-market strategy, corporate development and M&A, strategic partnerships, competitive intelligence, and key growth initiatives. The move highlights the company’s increasing focus on AI-driven warehouse automation and global expansion.

“The next decade of warehouse automation will be defined by global scale, applied AI, and the ability to transform operational complexity into measurable customer value,” said Rick Faulk, CEO of Locus Robotics. “Gina brings the strategic rigor, customer insight, and automation expertise required to help Locus Robotics strengthen its leadership as the market evolves. Her appointment sharpens the connection between our market strategy, product direction, partnerships, and growth priorities as we continue scaling globally.”

Chung joined Locus Robotics in 2023 as Vice President of Corporate Development and has since played a major role in shaping the company’s corporate strategy, business development, and partnership initiatives. Her promotion reflects the growing importance of strategy, market intelligence, M&A, and ecosystem partnerships as warehouse automation continues becoming a major investment area for global supply chain operators.

“The opportunity in front of Locus Robotics is enormous,” said Chung. “Physical AI and warehouse automation are at an inflection point, and customers are looking for automation platforms that can scale globally, adapt quickly, and deliver measurable operational impact. Locus Robotics is uniquely positioned to meet that need, and I’m excited to help advance our strategy, strengthen our partnerships, and support the next chapter of growth.”

Before joining Locus Robotics, Gina served as Vice President of Innovation at DHL, where she led global innovation and R&D, technology partnerships, and the deployment of AI and automation across supply chain operations. She also launched and managed DHL’s Americas Innovation Center in Chicago while working closely with the company’s top 100 customers to drive competitive advantage through innovation.

Originally from New Zealand, Chung holds 2 degrees from the University of Auckland and brings extensive experience across supply chain innovation, automation, technology partnerships, and global strategy leadership.
