A major development in Florida has cleared the way for renaming a key airport after U.S. President Donald Trump, alongside the unveiling of plans for a high-rise presidential library in Miami.
On March 30, 2026, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis signed a bill approving the renaming of Palm Beach International Airport to “U.S. President Donald J. Trump International Airport.” The change is expected to take effect in July and will rebrand the airport located near Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate.
Later the same day, Trump shared a video on social media showcasing digital renderings of his proposed presidential library. The design features a tall skyscraper along the Miami skyline, prominently displaying the “Trump” branding.
The visuals highlight both exterior and interior concepts, including a presidential jet placed inside the lobby and a gold escalator similar to the one used during Trump’s 2015 campaign launch. The plans also include a large ballroom inspired by one proposed for the White House, a replica Oval Office, rooftop gardens, and a gold statue of Trump.
According to the video, the design has been developed by Bermello Ajamil. The post included a link to a new website for the library, which currently states “coming soon” and features a donation option. The White House has not responded to queries regarding the project.
The site for the proposed library has been secured through Miami Dade College, which donated nearly 3 acres of downtown land valued at over $67 million. A legal challenge against the transfer was dismissed by a judge in December.
Eric Trump previously described the project as “one of the most beautiful buildings ever built” and “an Icon on the Miami skyline.”
Since returning to office, Trump has pushed to place his name on multiple American institutions, including the U.S. Institute of Peace and the Kennedy Center.
In Palm Beach, a road connecting the airport to Trump’s estate has also been renamed Donald J. Trump Boulevard.
