Essar has appointed Muthukumaran Doraiswami as its Group Chief Financial Officer (CFO), according to an announcement shared on a professional networking platform.
Before joining Essar, Muthukumaran served as Chief Financial Officer at Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone. He stepped down from the role in February, following a stock exchange disclosure by the company. He spent more than 4 years with the Adani Group during his tenure.
Muthukumaran has also held leadership positions at Deloitte, the Aditya Birla Group and ReNew Power, building extensive experience across multiple industries.
With more than 30 years of leadership experience, he brings expertise in finance, business strategy, mergers and acquisitions, fundraising, public listings, corporate governance and value creation. His appointment is expected to strengthen Essar’s financial leadership as the group continues to drive its business growth and strategic priorities.
