Kabwe joins Emeritus Reinsurance after serving as Finance Manager at Hollard Insurance in Lusaka, Zambia, from August 2023 to June 2026. In this role, he was involved in key financial management and operational responsibilities within the insurance sector.
Prior to Hollard Insurance, he worked as Finance Manager at SPENN Zambia from February 2020 to August 2023. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer and Country Manager, he led activities related to annual financial statements, budgeting, financial planning, management reporting, stakeholder engagement, and support for strategic decision-making.
During his tenure at SPENN Zambia, he also oversaw finance department operations, month-end closing processes, management accounts, financial reporting, budget management, ratio and variance analysis, accounts receivable and payable functions, supplier reconciliations, and coordination with auditors, financial institutions, and other external stakeholders.
Earlier in his career, Kabwe served as Revenue Analyst at MTN Zambia from December 2018 to February 2020, where he supported financial reporting, financial analysis, intercompany accounting activities, account reconciliations, and group reporting requirements.
He began his professional journey at PwC as an Associate, serving from March 2017 to December 2018. During this period, he participated in statutory audits and gained experience across the banking, telecommunications, and non-governmental organization sectors.
With a strong background in financial reporting, budgeting, management accounting, audit, financial analysis, revenue management, risk assessment, and finance operations, Kabwe brings a broad range of expertise to his new role. His appointment is expected to support Emeritus Reinsurance Zambia’s financial strategy and long-term growth objectives.
