In an effort to expand access to religious services in rural areas, EaseMyTrip has partnered with NSDC and Sanatan AI to introduce a new initiative titled “1 Panchayat – 1 Pandit – SANATANAI Shop on Wheels by EMT.”
The plan aims to deploy mobile electric vehicle service hubs across 200,000 panchayats over the next 5 years. These EV vans will allow people in small towns and villages to easily book poojas, plan religious travel, and access virtual darshan services locally.
Beyond service delivery, the initiative is designed to create employment opportunities. Pandits, Pujaris, and Sanskrit-trained youth will be trained as certified micro-entrepreneurs. The program will also support them with financing through a MUDRA-linked framework.
The announcement had a strong impact on the market. EaseMyTrip’s stock surged nearly 10% following the news, reflecting positive investor sentiment.
According to Nishant Pitti, the initiative aims to empower traditional service providers by enhancing their skills and connecting them to a broader customer base.
With this move, EaseMyTrip is combining technology, mobility, and tradition to improve access to religious services while creating new livelihood opportunities in rural India.
