Fintech and brokerage startup Definedge has raised Rs 22 crore in a pre-Series A funding round, taking its total funding raised to Rs 30 crore.

The round saw continued participation from existing investors Nitin Agarwal and D. Prasad, along with new investors Anant Jain and Sachin Kasera.

The Pune-based startup had previously raised its first institutional and angel funding round in November last year. The round was backed by industry veterans including Hemant Luthra, Ajay Srivastava, D. Prasad, Nitin Agarwal and Madhusudan N. Sarda.

Definedge said the fresh capital will be used to strengthen infrastructure and low-latency execution, scale its flagship trading products Zone and Opstra, expand Algostra into a no-code retail algo-trading platform, and develop Momentify into a broader wealth creation platform.

Founded in 2021 by Prashant Shah and Rajesh Badiye, Definedge operates a full-stack wealth-tech ecosystem with more than 14 platforms, including Opstra, Zone, Algostra, Momentify and Gurukul. Its offerings cover trading, investing, research and learning for retail traders and investors.

The company is targeting Rs 5,000 crore in assets under management (AUM) through Momentify over the next 24 months, after crossing Rs 1,000 crore in AUM. It also plans to expand its Gurukul learning ecosystem for retail participants.

Definedge said it aims to scale its technology, service and operational infrastructure to support a larger customer base. It is also focusing on AI-enabled platforms such as Momentify and Algostra to help users adopt systematic approaches to trading and investing.

The startup claims its user base has grown 125% in the last 14 months and 10X over the last 36 months.

India’s fintech startups raised around $2 billion across 106 funding rounds in H1 2026, up 42% year-on-year.

The brokerage and wealth-tech segment includes established players such as Groww, Zerodha, Angel One, Upstox and Dhan, alongside newer platforms targeting younger and first-time investors.
