In a move to simplify multilingual communication, DeepL has introduced a new voice-to-voice translation suite designed for meetings and online conversations.

The company is rolling out early-access add-ons for Zoom and Microsoft Teams. The focus is to deliver fast translations while maintaining high accuracy. As CEO Jarek Kutylowski puts it, “they’re all about minimizing latency without sacrificing accuracy.”

Currently, the system works by converting spoken words into text, translating them, and then turning them back into speech. However, DeepL is working on an advanced end-to-end voice translation model that will eliminate the text step entirely.

The new suite is built for professional use and can understand industry-specific language. This makes it useful for environments like call centers and team meetings, where accurate context matters.

DeepL is also offering API access, allowing developers to create custom tools using its translation technology. Users interested in trying the feature can join a waitlist for early access.

Additionally, the platform supports easy group conversations through QR code invites, adding convenience as voice translation tools become more widely used.
