Strengthening its leadership team amid continued growth, BHI, the U.S. branch of Bank Hapoalim, B.M. and a full-service commercial bank, has appointed Gurpreet Bal as Chief Information Officer. Bal will report directly to CEO Gil Karni and join the bank’s Executive Team. She is set to take on the role in the coming weeks.
Bal brings more than 20 years of experience in enterprise technology strategy, scalable architecture, and leadership of engineering and data teams within the financial services sector. Before joining BHI, she served as VP, Head of Enterprise Architecture, Engineering & Data Technology at Guardian Life. She has also held senior leadership positions at S&P Global and worked with major global financial institutions including Société Générale and Goldman Sachs. In addition, Bal has advised organizations ranging from GE and Accenture to fintech firms and startup companies.
