In the Global Capability Center (GCC) sector, Bengaluru is still the best place to hire fresh talent in 2025, according to a new analysis from NLB Services. A substantial 17% of enterprises situated in Bengaluru estimate a more than 50% growth in fresher recruiting, demonstrating an aggressive and optimistic strategy compared to other Indian cities

Rising Demand Driven by Digital Transformation

India’s progress toward digital transformation is intimately related to the rise in employment of young graduates. Companies’ hiring and training practices are being influenced by three major industry trends: automation, cybersecurity, and cloud usage.

IT Sector Leads the Hiring Surge

The IT-hardware and software industry has had a notable increase among industries, rising from 17% in 2024 to 34% in 2025. Other industries that are not far behind include:

  • FMCG – 16%
  • Insurance – 15%
  • Pharmaceuticals – 11%

In addition to reflecting rising demand, this hiring boom also reflects a purposeful move toward long-term workforce development and upskilling.

Attractive Salary Packages for Freshers

In 2025, new hires in the IT industry should anticipate competitive compensation packages based on their positions and technical proficiency.
  • Software developers make between 2.8 and 8.2 lakh rupees a year.
  • Web developers: between ₹2 and ₹8 lakh annually
  • Freshmen in general IT: ₹3.5 lakh to ₹8 lakh annually

It’s interesting to note that earnings in tier 2 and tier 3 cities are now comparable to or even somewhat greater than those in metropolitan centers.
