Bajaj General Insurance has appointed Sammeer Kulkarni as its Chief Information Security Officer (CISO)

In his new role, he will lead the company’s information security strategy, risk management and regulatory initiatives, further strengthening its cybersecurity and governance framework.

Kulkarni joins Bajaj General Insurance from Zurich Kotak General Insurance, where he served as Chief Information Security Officer. During his tenure, he led the organization’s information security strategy and cyber risk management initiatives.

Earlier in his career, he held key leadership positions including VP – Information Security at BNP Paribas, DVP – Information Security at IndusInd Bank, and Group Head – Information Security & IT Projects at IndiaFirst Life Insurance.

With more than 20 years of experience across information security, information risk management and IT governance, Kulkarni brings extensive expertise in building resilient cybersecurity frameworks and managing enterprise security strategies.

His appointment reflects Bajaj General Insurance’s continued focus on strengthening its information security capabilities and supporting secure, resilient digital operations.
