Accenture has appointed Sumit Sharma as Managing Director, Data & AI, strengthening its leadership in enterprise data and artificial intelligence as organizations increasingly accelerate AI-driven transformation.

With more than 2 decades of experience, Sharma brings extensive expertise in leveraging data to drive business growth, technology innovation, and industry transformation. Recognized for his leadership in AI-led innovation and building AI-ready data foundations, he is expected to play a key role in expanding Accenture’s Data & AI capabilities and helping clients deliver measurable business outcomes.

Prior to joining Accenture, Sharma held leadership positions at Coforge and Sopra Steria, where he led global delivery teams managing large-scale, multi-geography Data & AI portfolios. During his tenure, he focused on modernizing enterprise data platforms, establishing Data & AI practices from the ground up, and translating strategic AI initiatives into enterprise-scale execution.

In his new role, Sharma will focus on strengthening Accenture’s Data & AI offerings, enabling organizations to build robust data foundations and accelerate AI adoption across industries.
