Lava is gearing up to launch its next smartphone, the Agni 4, in India later this month. The upcoming model will succeed the Agni 3 5G and marks a major design and feature upgrade for the Noida-based company. Ahead of its official debut, Lava has been teasing the phone’s design and key specifications, with the latest reveal confirming that the Agni 4 will feature an aluminium frame instead of the plastic frame used in its predecessor.
The teaser also confirms that the Lava Agni 4 will come with a dual rear camera setup and a new button positioned on the right side of the frame, which is believed to function as a camera capture button similar to Apple’s Camera Control button.
Design and expected specifications
In a post on X, Lava shared a glimpse of the Agni 4’s sleek design. The phone features an aluminium frame with a volume rocker and power button on the right, while the newly introduced button sits at the lower end of the same side. The back panel showcases a dual rear camera system accompanied by a dual LED flash. The company has also confirmed that the smartphone will feature a curved AMOLED display and will offer a “Zero Bloatware” software experience.
Lava will also provide a Free Home Replacement service for Agni 4 users, ensuring convenience and better after-sales support.
According to recent reports, the Lava Agni 4 is expected to be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 8350 chipset and come with UFS 4.0 storage. It may feature a 6.78-inch full HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate, delivering a smoother viewing experience. The device is also rumoured to include a massive 7,000mAh battery for extended usage.
The phone is expected to be priced at around Rs 25,000 in India. It will replace the Agni 3, which came with a MediaTek Dimensity 7300X processor, 8GB of RAM, up to 256GB storage, a 6.78-inch display, and a 5,000mAh battery supporting 66W fast charging.
With its aluminium build, upgraded specifications, and new design elements, the Lava Agni 4 could position itself as a strong contender in the mid-range smartphone segment.
