Google has announced the expansion of its no-code AI builder, Opal, to India and 14 additional countries. The platform enables creators to build AI-powered mini-apps using only natural language, making app creation faster and more accessible. Originally introduced two months ago as an experimental project in Google Labs, Opal is now available globally through opal.withgoogle.com and supported by a growing international community on Google’s Discord channel.
“The ingenuity of these early adopters made one thing clear: we need to get Opal into the hands of more creators globally,” said Megan Li, Senior Product Manager at Google Labs. With this expansion, Google has also introduced several new workflow improvements aimed at enhancing user experience.
The latest update includes an advanced debugging feature that allows users to test workflows step by step within a visual editor. This helps identify and fix real-time errors more efficiently. Google has also enhanced Opal’s overall performance by significantly reducing app creation time from more than five seconds and introducing parallel workflow execution for smoother, faster development.
“Whether you’re automating a complex business process, accelerating your marketing efforts or bringing a creative vision to life, Opal is here to help you build,” Li added.
In addition to Opal’s expansion, Google DeepMind has launched Gemini 2.5 Computer Use, a specialised version of Gemini 2.5 Pro designed to interact with user interfaces. This version is currently available in preview through the Gemini API via Google AI Studio and Vertex AI Studio.
With these developments, Google continues to expand its suite of AI-driven tools, aiming to make powerful technology more accessible to developers, creators, and businesses around the world.
