Confluent has announced the appointment of Lijo George as the India Leader Acquisition Business, marking a significant step in strengthening its fast-growing operations in the country. In this role, Lijo will lead customer acquisition, expand market presence, and reinforce Confluent’s position in real-time data streaming technology.
Lijo brings more than 26 years of experience in enterprise software, cloud services, and consulting. He has a strong track record of driving transformation, ensuring customer success, and enabling large-scale business expansion across global markets such as the USA, UK, Dubai, and Saudi Arabia.
Before joining Confluent, Lijo George held senior leadership roles at Microsoft, Oracle, Tata Consultancy Services, Dar Al Riyadh Consultants, SYSTRONICSS, and Wipro Technologies. During his 15 years at Microsoft, he worked as Azure Solution Sales Country Lead for Digital Natives and later as India Head Azure Data and AI Solution Sales, where he contributed significantly to scaling cloud adoption in the region. At Oracle, he served as Senior Director and Cloud Sales Lead, further enhancing his expertise in enterprise cloud solutions.
Lijo George is a graduate of the Executive General Management Program at the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore. His academic background, combined with extensive global leadership experience, positions him strongly to accelerate Confluent’s customer acquisition strategies and strengthen partnerships within the rapidly evolving Indian technology market.
