Vodafone Idea Limited has appointed Sandeep Kataria as Vice President Information Technology. In this leadership role, he will oversee IT development and operations across Enterprise Support Systems, with a focus on driving strategic initiatives, solution delivery, system modernisation, digital transformation, and innovation at scale.
Sandeep brings with him extensive experience in global IT leadership across multiple industries. Most recently, he served as Head IT SAP Sales, D&A Reporting, and Transformation at Thomson Reuters. During his tenure, he led major SAP transformations, enhanced reporting systems, and implemented strategic digital initiatives. His leadership played a key role in aligning IT systems with global business priorities while improving operational efficiency.
Before this, Sandeep worked as General Manager IT at Go Airlines (GO FIRST), where he drove digital solutions that strengthened operational agility in the aviation sector. He also spent close to seven years at General Mills as Global GDGS Operations Manager, where he managed global IT operations and optimised delivery frameworks across several geographies.
Earlier in his career, Sandeep held senior positions at Capgemini, serving as SDM and Support Manager, and at Tata Consultancy Services, where he began as a Consultant before advancing to Delivery Lead at the Center of Excellence. He also gained international exposure in the UAE with NDC, working as a Product Manager and Senior Information Systems Analyst, further building his expertise in managing large-scale IT systems.
Through these diverse roles, Sandeep has established himself as a technology leader known for creating enterprise-grade, customer-focused, and future-ready IT ecosystems. His work has consistently helped multi-billion-dollar enterprises optimise performance, reduce costs, and accelerate innovation.
His appointment at Vodafone Idea Limited highlights the company’s commitment to strengthening its digital backbone and driving forward its transformation journey.
