Directed Technologies Partners with A3T to Drive Connected Vehicle Solutions in India

Directed Technologies has announced its first strategic collaboration in India with A3T Technologies to expand its commercial vehicle solutions in the country’s fast-growing automotive market.

A3T Technologies, known for its expertise in auto electronics, will serve as the sales representative for Directed’s connected vehicle technologies in India, focusing on OEM-grade, factory-fit Multimedia Units for commercial vehicles. The move marks a significant step for Directed in strengthening its presence in the world’s third-largest automotive market.

India’s commercial automotive sector is witnessing strong growth, with 5.1 million vehicles sold in 2024 and projections suggesting sales could reach 7.5 million by 2030. Directed aims to build on its global footprint, having already deployed its MMUs in more than 350,000 vehicles worldwide, developed and tested with leading global OEMs. Its solutions are also used by over 5,000 vehicle fleets for improved connectivity and compliance in sectors such as transport and logistics.

A3T’s established ties with Indian truck and bus manufacturers, along with its distributor network, are expected to accelerate Directed’s market entry. The company will also provide local customer support as part of the collaboration.

“This is an important, strategic collaboration that combines our innovative multimedia technology with A3T’s deep local expertise,” said Mark Whitmore, Senior Vice President Sales and Customer Growth at Directed Technologies. “Together, we’re not just selling products, we’re co-developing solutions tailored to India’s unique market needs. From delivering localised support to enabling innovation at scale, we’re laying the groundwork for long term growth in the region.”

The partnership will see A3T assisting Directed in integrating MMUs into commercial vehicle cabin systems, customising user interfaces for India’s multiple languages, optimising connectivity for local networks, and ensuring compliance with regional standards.

“We are excited to be working with Directed Technologies to bring cutting-edge vehicle connectivity solutions to the Indian market,” said Aniketh More, Founder at A3T Technologies. “This partnership will help deliver advanced, reliable, and scalable multimedia solutions to the Indian market.”

Earlier this year, Directed appointed Vishnu Verma as Country Manager, India, to lead the rollout of its multimedia products, telematics, and IoT solutions. The partnership aims to blend global technical expertise with local market understanding to address the evolving needs of India’s commercial vehicle industry.
