Airtel users can now enjoy a one year free subscription to Perplexity Pro, an advanced AI-powered search engine platform. This offer brings a new kind of benefit to Airtel customers, moving beyond the usual entertainment services by giving access to powerful AI tools.
Perplexity works differently from typical AI chatbots like ChatGPT or Gemini. It acts as a smart search engine that answers questions using real-time internet data. According to the company, it uses advanced language models such as GPT 4.1 and Claude 4.0 Sonnet to deliver reliable and accurate responses.
With the Pro version, users can do up to 300 AI searches every day, upload and analyse documents, summarise content, and even create text-to-image visuals using tools like DALL E. A new feature called Labs is also included, which lets users build web apps, dashboards, and spreadsheets using tools like deep web browsing, code execution, and image creation. This feature performs self supervised tasks to generate useful outputs in just minutes.
To claim this free subscription, Airtel users need to follow a few simple steps. First, open the Airtel Thanks app and go to the ‘Rewards’ section. Look for the banner that says “Get 12 months of Perplexity Pro worth Rs 17000 FREE” and tap on it. On the next screen, click ‘Claim Now’. After that, either sign in or sign up on the Perplexity website. No credit card or payment details are required as this is a complimentary offer.
This marks the first time a telecom operator Airtel in India is offering a premium AI subscription service instead of the usual video streaming platforms. With growing demand for AI tools in daily work and research, this move sets a new trend in the telecom industry.
