Harmonic Raises $100 Million in Series B Funding to Accelerate Mathematical Superintelligence Development

Harmonic, an artificial intelligence lab founded in 2023, has announced a successful close of its Series B funding round, securing $100 million. This significant investment was led by Kleiner Perkins, with substantial participation from Paradigm, and included contributions from other notable investors such as Ribbit Capital, Sequoia Capital, Index Ventures, and Charlie Cheever. The funding round values Harmonic at nearly $900 million post-money.

The primary purpose of this capital injection is to accelerate the development of Harmonic’s groundbreaking Mathematical Superintelligence (MSI) and to drive the commercialization of its flagship model, Aristotle.

Unlike traditional language-based AI systems, Aristotle’s MSI is designed to verify accuracy and ensure rigorous logical reasoning, making it exceptionally suited for high-stakes applications where even minor errors are unacceptable. These applications span critical industries including blockchain, financial services, and aerospace, where Aristotle can be used for generating and formally verifying software.

Harmonic, led by CEO Tudor Achim and backed by Robinhood CEO Vlad Tenev, previously raised $75 million in its Series A funding round in September 2024, demonstrating consistent investor confidence in its innovative approach to AI.
