HCLSoftware has announced the release of HCL Domino 14.5, a major upgrade aimed at fulfilling the strict requirements of governments and organizations in heavily regulated industries, particularly emphasizing data privacy and digital autonomy.
A key feature of this release is Domino IQ, a sovereign AI extension that is fully integrated into the Domino platform. This cutting-edge tool gives organizations total control over their AI models and data, helping them comply with essential regulations like the European AI Act and reducing dependence on external cloud services.
Richard Jefts, Executive Vice President and General Manager at HCLSoftware, pointed out the significance of the new version: “Domino+ 14.5 plays a crucial role in helping over 200 government agencies globally protect sensitive information, including vital communications such as email, chat, video recordings, and various documents.”
The upgraded Domino+ collaboration suite also brings improved features for secure messaging, meetings, and file sharing, supported by IONOS, a leading European cloud provider. To further enhance its security and compliance framework, Domino 14.5 has received BSI certification for information security, offers seamless integration with Security Event and Incident Management (SEIM) tools, and is fully compliant with the European Accessibility Act.
