The George Institute for Global Health has welcomed Vaibhav Chauhan as its new Director of Finance and Chief Operating Officer, overseeing the institute’s financial strategy and operational management across India. This prestigious appointment marks another milestone for Chauhan, whose rich experience spans global organizations and diverse industries.
With a career built on excellence, Vaibhav brings over a decade of strategic financial leadership to the role. Prior to joining The George Institute, he led Finance and Operations for the Indian arm of Protiviti, a US-listed consulting and research firm. There, he was instrumental in driving financial transformation, operational efficiency, and enhancing service delivery across multiple geographies.
Chauhan’s career journey also includes leadership positions at bioMérieux, SRF Limited, and HCL Technologies, where he gained cross-industry exposure in manufacturing, IT, and global healthcare. His depth of experience in managing complex financial landscapes allows him to adapt quickly and lead effectively through change.
A lifelong learner and innovation enthusiast, Vaibhav is currently expanding his knowledge in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, applying modern tools to boost financial and operational performance.
He holds professional credentials as a Chartered Accountant, Company Secretary, and a US Certified Public Accountant, along with a Commerce degree from Delhi University and a postgraduate qualification from IMT.
His excellence has been recognised with several prestigious honours including India’s Top 100 CFOs, BW Top 40 CFOs Under 40, Exceptional Finance Manager, and the FE Finance Visionary Leader award.
