In a significant move to enhance its digital future, Builders FirstSource has brought in seasoned tech leader Gayatri Narayan as its new President of Technology and Digital Solutions. Reporting directly to CEO Peter Jackson, this newly established role is a major stride in the company’s vision to embed deeper digital innovation across its core offerings.
In her new position, Narayan will take charge of driving forward Builders FirstSource’s digital evolution by developing cutting-edge products, launching smart digital-first business models, and leading the company’s Paradigm subsidiary—a platform known for creating digital services tailored for the building products industry.
CEO Peter Jackson expressed strong optimism about the appointment: “As the leader in our industry, Builders FirstSource continues to innovate in our digital and technical innovations to create even greater value for our customers. Gayatri has a proven track record of delivering organic growth through technology. She will play a pivotal role in advancing our digital strategy and accelerating our execution to support the long-term success of our customers and our business.”
With more than two decades of experience in the global technology space, Narayan brings with her a dynamic career shaped by leadership roles at PepsiCo, where she spearheaded digital product innovation across frontline sales, manufacturing, and revenue operations. Prior to that, she served as General Manager at Microsoft, where she steered Enterprise Digital Solutions, including pioneering work in Conversational AI. Her impactful tenure at Amazon further refined her expertise in driving growth, global market expansion, and profitability through tech-driven business models.
Academically, Narayan holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, a Master’s in Computer Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and a Bachelor of Engineering from Bharathiar University in India.
Meanwhile, Tim Page, who previously held the role of Executive Vice President for Digital Solutions, will continue supporting the company in a strategic project management role. He will work in close collaboration with Narayan to ensure a smooth leadership transition.
