Boeing appoints Shashank Jha as CIO and Head of Digital Technology for India

Shashank Jha has been appointed Chief Information Officer (CIO) and Information Digital Technology & Security (IDT&S) site leader for India by Boeing. He will oversee the operations and strategy of Boeing’s IDT&S unit in Bengaluru, where he will be stationed. There are over 1,500 workers on the India team.

Jha will oversee internal engagement, team building, and site operations for Boeing’s IDT&S India branch in this capacity. To facilitate cooperation and technology delivery, he will also collaborate closely with business partners throughout Boeing’s global IDT&S division.

Jha has been appointed executive director of commercial Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) products in addition to his roles as site leader and CIO. These goods are essential to Boeing’s engineering procedures and global operations.

Jha has been an IT and engineering leader for more than 20 years. He was the chief of Dover Corporation’s India Global Capability Center before to joining Boeing. He was in charge of corporate IT operations in China and India there. He has held executive positions in digital transformation and IT at large industrial firms including Bosch, Honeywell, and General Electric. He has concentrated on digital transformation projects, product engineering platforms, cybersecurity, and enterprise systems.

He brings decades of expertise in leading engineering systems and digital transformation at large conglomerates in the mobility and automation space, which will help drive technology innovation and operational excellence for Boeing,” said Lucia Chung, IDT&S vice president and Engineering & Product Support CIO.

Jha graduated from Birla Institute of Technology and Science in Pilani with a master’s degree in software systems. Additionally, he graduated from Bhilai Institute of Technology with a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
