Wishing Mr. Dilipkumar Khandelwal new horizons, meaningful opportunities, and great success in their future endeavors!
In a step that echoes the courage of turning a new page, Dilipkumar Khandelwal, a name synonymous with technological evolution at a major global bank in India, has gracefully chosen to step away from his corporate mantle. After steering the helm as CEO of the bank’s Indian unit and leading its global technology centres and corporate functions, he now ventures into a realm where dreams are nurtured — the vibrant startup ecosystem.
Marking the close of a profound era, Khandelwal has served for five enriching years, leaving behind a trail of digital transformation and cultural renaissance. Speaking with the calm clarity of a man tuned to his inner compass, he said, “It is time to explore what are the next steps, and I haven’t made any decision yet. It is an exciting time in the startup ecosystem, and I like to focus my energies on nurturing and, more importantly, helping startups scale. I would continue to invest in early-stage startups and work with them to help scale it.”
He will continue at the bank until June’s end, ensuring a gentle and complete transition. The institution acknowledged his monumental impact, stating that under his stewardship, a bedrock of tech advancement and progressive spirit had been laid.
Khandelwal’s career tapestry also weaves through his leadership at a leading software firm where he headed the HANA Enterprise Cloud and served as its India MD. A graduate of Mumbai University and the Indian School of Business, his credentials are anchored in both intellect and intuition.
Yet, his journey transcends boardrooms. A passionate angel investor, Khandelwal has supported more than 70 fledgling ventures including Whatfix, Moglix, and Zouk. He is also deeply connected to academic innovation through his ties with Plaksha University.
As he turns toward this new sunrise, the startup sphere stands poised to be enriched by his vision, empathy, and the silent strength of experience. Khandelwal’s voyage is not just a career change — it is the planting of seeds for tomorrow’s forest of ideas.
