Mugafi Annouces Alok Sharma as Chief Creative Officer

Wishing Mr. Alok Sharma greater responsibilities and exciting challenges in this impressive new chapter!

In a bold stride toward redefining digital storytelling, Mugafi, a platform known for its AI-powered, creator-first content ecosystem, has announced a wave of strategic leadership appointments. This significant move comes at a time when the company is rapidly scaling its original content production and IP development efforts across genres and platforms.

Alok Sharma has taken charge as Chief Creative Officer at Mugafi. With a creative journey spanning over 20 years and touching nearly every medium—print, radio, television, animation, OTT, and cinema—Alok brings with him a legacy of boundary-pushing content. His previous roles at Warner Bros. Discovery and Graphic India saw him leading acclaimed projects such as Astra Force, Baahubali: The Lost Legends, and The Legend of Hanuman. At Mugafi, he will shape the creative soul of the brand, crafting daring narratives that defy convention and offer immersive viewer experiences.

Joining the leadership circle is Rahul Sarangi, appointed as Strategic Business and Content Advisor. With nearly two decades of experience and an Emmy nomination to his credit, Rahul has helmed content strategy at major platforms like Hotstar, MX Player, and The Viral Fever. His deep knowledge of both scripted and non-scripted formats will be vital in unlocking new storytelling opportunities and business expansions.

On the business front, Jenil Parmar steps in as Business Head. With prior leadership roles at GoQuest Media and Golden Pen, Jenil brings a strong understanding of content scaling, IP-driven strategies, and global co-production partnerships. At Mugafi, he will lead production capabilities, acquisitions, and strategic collaborations to fuel long-term growth.

Meanwhile, Raya Choudhury joins as Creative Head, bringing with her over a decade of expertise in content development. Having worked with storytelling powerhouses like Zee Studios and Kaleidoscope Entertainment, Raya will be pivotal in developing Mugafi’s IP slate and nurturing the next generation of creative minds.

Founder Vipul Agrawal expressed his excitement over the new appointments, stating:

“We’re thrilled to welcome Alok, Rahul, Jenil, and Raya to the Mugafi family. Each one of them brings unique strengths and deep industry insight that perfectly align with our mission—to empower creators and bring impactful, transformative stories to the world. This is a landmark moment in Mugafi’s journey, and I’m excited for what lies ahead. We’re also actively expanding our team across departments to meet the creative and operational demands of this new chapter.”

These leadership changes mark a powerful evolution in Mugafi’s journey, as the company continues to build a future-forward ecosystem where creativity, AI, and purpose-driven storytelling thrive.
