Educate Girls, the non-profit organization focused on bringing girls back into education, is proud to announce the appointment of Gayatri Nair Lobo as its new Chief Executive Officer. With nearly 25 years of experience spanning consulting and the development sector, Gayatri is stepping into her new role at a pivotal time. The organization is embarking on its most ambitious goal to date: impacting 10 million learners within the next decade.
“Known for her systems thinking and ability to drive change at all levels—from the grassroots to policy—Gayatri brings a unique combination of strategic vision and operational expertise. She has been at the helm of high-impact projects, from revitalizing 5,000 water bodies across India to shaping national discussions on sustainable farming and educational reform. Her previous leadership roles as CEO of A.T.E. Chandra Foundation and India School Leadership Institute (ISLI), along with senior positions at Teach For India and Dalberg Advisors, have established her as one of the most respected leaders in the field of equity and institutional transformation,” the organization said in a statement.
