Wishing Mr. Timothy Tang greater responsibilities and exciting challenges in this impressive new chapter!
SATS, a leading name in food solutions and gateway services, has announced the appointment of Timothy Tang as its Group Chief Financial Officer (CFO)-designate, with the transition taking effect on 2 May 2025.
The baton of financial leadership will be passed from Manfred Seah, the current Group CFO, who will move into the role of Special Advisor starting 25 July, following years of dedicated service. This strategic leadership reshuffle aligns with SATS’ ongoing commitment to evolve with agility as it steps into its next growth phase.
Tang arrives with a solid reputation for steering large-scale financial operations. Most recently, he served as CFO at DFS Group, and before that, spent nearly a decade with the Jardine Matheson Group, where he took on key leadership responsibilities, including Managing Director of Wellcome Hong Kong and Macau. His background includes a deep understanding of finance, business strategy, and operational excellence across diverse sectors.
A Chartered Accountant by qualification, Tang also holds an MBA from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology in Australia. His relocation from Hong Kong to Singapore marks the beginning of his official tenure at SATS, following the company’s upcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM).
Kerry Mok, President and CEO of SATS, shared his thoughts on the appointment:
“As we move to our next phase of growth, I look forward to welcoming Timothy as he brings fresh perspectives and a proven track record of global leadership that will strengthen our senior management team. I am confident that Timothy’s business and financial expertise managing global operations of significant scale and complexity will help drive SATS in sustaining growth and creating value, worldwide.”
With Tang’s appointment, SATS aims to reinforce its strategic focus on innovation, expansion, and financial resilience. His global vision and operational insight are expected to align seamlessly with the company’s long-term ambitions across international markets.
As the sun rises on a new chapter in SATS’ leadership journey, the company stands poised to harness Tang’s expertise to accelerate value creation and sustain its leadership across industries and regions.
