Summit Interconnect Appoints New Executives: Sean Patterson as CTO, Michael Norman as President and COO

Summit Interconnect, a leader in advanced PCB manufacturing, has announced two significant updates to its executive leadership team. These changes are part of the company’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its position in the industry.

In a strategic move, Summit has created the role of Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and appointed Sean Patterson, the current Chief Operating Officer, to fill the position. As CTO, Patterson will steer the company’s technological direction, aligning it with overall business objectives. He will be responsible for driving innovation, overseeing research and development, and implementing cutting-edge technologies to enhance operational efficiency and product quality. With a focus on improving customer experiences, Patterson will also ensure Summit remains competitive by leveraging the latest technological advancements.

Patterson’s experience in leading operations at Summit Interconnect, Nano Dimension, and Amazon makes him an ideal fit for the role. “As the pace of innovation accelerates, leadership in emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things will be critical to maintaining a competitive edge,” said Shane Whiteside, CEO of Summit Interconnect. “With Sean leading our technology initiatives as CTO, Summit will be well positioned for sustained success in an increasingly digital and interconnected world.”

Additionally, Summit is excited to announce Michael Norman as its new President and Chief Operating Officer. Norman, who brings over three decades of leadership experience in aerospace, defense, and technology, will oversee all North American operations, sales, and marketing. His expertise includes managing large-scale programs and driving operational efficiency. Before joining Summit, Norman served as Vice President of Space, Imaging, and Microelectronics at Raytheon, where he led multiple subsidiaries in advanced semiconductor microelectronics and satellite systems. His previous roles at L3Harris and Lockheed Martin further highlight his ability to lead complex, high-performance projects.

“I am excited to join Summit and strengthen its leadership in the PCB industry at a critical time for U.S. manufacturing,” said Michael Norman. “Summit’s commitment to high-reliability circuit boards for aerospace, defense, and commercial industries is impressive. I look forward to working with this talented team to meet our customers’ evolving technology needs.”

Shane Whiteside will continue to lead Summit as CEO and Chairman of the Board, while Patterson and Norman will help drive the company’s strategic growth.
